Overview

About Jayrup

Jayrup is a custom e-commerce website built by RelieveX Labs for a Gujarat brand that sells luxury perfume and Ayurvedic skincare online across India. The store at jayrup.in sells Jayrup Royal Flora Eau de Parfum and Jayrup Pimples Cream – an Ayurvedic proprietary medicine – with PhonePe online payments, Cash on Delivery, automatic GST invoices and an admin panel that runs the entire business.

Jayrup started on WordPress and WooCommerce. As the brand grew from one cream into perfumes and other product lines, the old store could not handle different GST rates per product, Indian payment flows, shipping rules or serious SEO. RelieveX Labs rebuilt it from the ground up as a fast React and Node.js platform, migrated the old site without losing Google rankings, and made it ready for many more products.

Product: Custom e-commerce website for luxury perfume and Ayurvedic skincare

Platforms: Responsive website at jayrup.in, admin panel and REST API at api.jayrup.in

Built for: Shoppers across India buying perfume and Ayurvedic care for pimple-prone skin

Client: Jayrup, Himatnagar, Gujarat

Developed by: RelieveX Labs, Himatnagar, Gujarat

The challenge: one product on WordPress, a growing brand behind it

The first Jayrup website was a WooCommerce store built around a single pimples cream. When the brand launched Royal Flora Eau de Parfum, the limits became clear: perfume and Ayurvedic medicine need different HSN codes and GST rates, perfumes must travel by surface courier, Indian customers expect UPI and Cash on Delivery, and every new product had to be found on Google. Plugins, slow pages and security updates were making the store harder to run every month.

How the Jayrup store works for customers

  1. Find the product. Shoppers land from Google on fast, pre-rendered product, category and blog pages.

  2. Learn and trust. Each page explains ingredients, usage, licence details and FAQs, with reviews and clear policies.

  3. Check out the Indian way. The cart prices everything on the server – coupon, shipping zone, COD fee and GST – then the customer pays with PhonePe or chooses COD.

  4. Get the invoice. A GST invoice is created automatically and can be downloaded from the customer's account.

  5. Track and return. Customers follow the order status, and eligible items can be returned from the account.

Built for selling perfume and Ayurvedic skincare in India

Product types that decide tax, shipping and returns

Every product belongs to a product type – fragrance, Ayurvedic medicine, skincare and more. The type supplies the default HSN code, GST rate, return rule and shipping rule, so a perfume is taxed at its own rate, ships by surface and is non-returnable once opened, while the cream follows Ayurvedic medicine rules – automatically, in the same order.

PhonePe payments that never lose an order

Payments run on PhonePe Standard Checkout. The server never trusts the browser: every payment is confirmed with PhonePe's status API, webhooks are verified, and a background checker reconciles any payment a customer abandoned halfway. Refunds are started from the admin panel and tracked to completion.

GST invoicing an accountant can rely on

Invoices follow the business GSTIN: CGST and SGST inside Gujarat, IGST for other states, shipping taxed at the right rate, coupon discounts spread across lines, and credit notes for cancellations. The same engine supports the Composition scheme and switching to GST-exclusive pricing in future without touching past orders.

Shipping rules for every corner of India

The owner sets a free-shipping limit, a fee per extra item, and separate zones for Gujarat, the rest of India and remote regions such as the North-East, J&K and the islands – each with its own delivery days and COD switch. PIN codes can be blocked or set to prepaid only, and a live preview shows exactly what a customer will pay.

SEO and migration from WordPress

Search visibility was the main goal. Product, category and blog pages are pre-rendered so Google reads full HTML, with Product, Offer, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Article and Organization structured data, canonical URLs and Open Graph images. A sitemap, robots file and Google Merchant feed are generated from the live catalogue. Every old WordPress and WooCommerce URL – products, categories, my-account pages and wp-admin – is permanently redirected to its new page, so existing rankings and links were kept.

Problem → Solution → Result

01

The problem

Jayrup began as a WordPress and WooCommerce store built around a single product, Jayrup Pimples Cream. When the brand launched Royal Flora Eau de Parfum, the store could no longer keep up with the business. Perfume and Ayurvedic medicine need different HSN codes and GST rates, but the old store treated every product the same way, so invoices could not be trusted in a mixed order. Perfumes must travel by surface courier, which changes delivery times, while customers across India expected UPI, cards and Cash on Delivery with clear rules. Every new product also had to rank on Google. The WordPress site relied on many plugins, loaded slowly on mobile, needed constant security updates and gave little control over structured data. The brand needed a platform that could grow with new products without rebuilding the store each time.

02

Our solution

RelieveX Labs rebuilt Jayrup as a custom e-commerce platform with a React storefront and admin panel and a Node.js, Express and MongoDB API. Catalogue and tax. Every product belongs to a product type such as fragrance or Ayurvedic medicine. The type, category or product itself supplies the HSN code, GST rate, return rule and shipping rule, so mixed orders are taxed correctly. The GST engine issues Tax Invoices or Bills of Supply with CGST, SGST or IGST, credit notes and gap-free numbering, and can switch from GST-inclusive to GST-exclusive pricing in future. Payments and checkout. Checkout is priced entirely on the server, covering coupons, shipping zones, COD fees and GST. PhonePe Standard Checkout handles UPI, cards and net banking with verified webhooks, status checks, a background reconciler and refunds from the admin panel. Cash on Delivery has its own fee, order limits and prepaid-only PIN codes. Shipping. The owner sets free-shipping limits, a fee per extra item and zones for Gujarat, the rest of India and remote regions, each with delivery days and a COD switch, plus blocked PIN codes and a live preview. Admin and content. One admin panel manages products, categories, orders, inventory, coupons, blogs, banners, influencer videos, reviews, customers, reports and audit logs, with a rich editor for tables, callouts, images and video. SEO and migration. Pages are pre-rendered with Product, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Article and Organization schema, a sitemap and a Google Merchant feed. Every old WordPress URL is 301-redirected to its new page. The API runs on a VPS behind Nginx and PM2 at api.jayrup.in, and the storefront on fast LiteSpeed hosting at jayrup.in.

03

The result

Jayrup is live at jayrup.in, selling Royal Flora Eau de Parfum and Jayrup Pimples Cream across India. One platform for every product. Perfume and Ayurvedic medicine sit in the same catalogue with their own tax, shipping and return rules, and new product lines can be added from the admin panel without new code. Invoices the accountant can trust. Every order gets a correct GST invoice automatically, with CGST and SGST or IGST, and cancellations raise proper credit notes. Payments that do not get lost. PhonePe and Cash on Delivery orders are confirmed on the server, so abandoned or interrupted payments are reconciled instead of disappearing. Rankings kept, pages faster. Old WordPress URLs redirect to their new pages, Google receives full pre-rendered HTML with structured data, and the plugins and security patches of WordPress are gone. The owner runs everything in one place – orders, stock, shipping, GST, content and reports – from a single admin panel.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What kind of website did RelieveX Labs build for Jayrup?

A custom e-commerce website for a Gujarat brand that sells luxury perfume and Ayurvedic skincare across India. It includes a React storefront, an admin panel and a Node.js API with PhonePe payments, Cash on Delivery, automatic GST invoices, shipping zones and server-side SEO.

Why did Jayrup move from WordPress and WooCommerce to a custom website?

The brand grew from one pimples cream into perfumes and more products. Each needs its own HSN code, GST rate, shipping and return rules, and the WooCommerce store could not handle this reliably. The custom platform handles all of it, loads faster, needs no plugins and was migrated with 301 redirects so Google rankings were kept.

Does the website create GST invoices automatically?

Yes. Every order gets a GST invoice with the correct HSN code and rate per product – CGST and SGST for Gujarat customers and IGST for other states – plus credit notes for cancellations. It supports the Regular and Composition schemes, and both GST-inclusive and GST-exclusive pricing.

How is the Jayrup website optimised for Google?

Product, category and blog pages are pre-rendered as full HTML with Product, Offer, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Article and Organization structured data, canonical URLs and share images. The site also generates a sitemap, robots file and Google Merchant Center feed.

Can RelieveX Labs build a similar store for my brand?

Yes. RelieveX Labs builds custom e-commerce websites with Indian payment gateways, GST invoicing, shipping rules and SEO for D2C brands across India, from Himatnagar, Gujarat. Contact the team with your products and goals.
